Shaping modern elegance
Founded in Denmark in 1955 as a small family workshop specialising in upholstery, Wendelbo has grown into an international design company with craftsmanship still firmly at its core. Across three generations, our knowledge of upholstery has evolved alongside an international approach to design and a modern production built to deliver quality at scale.
Today, we collaborate with leading designers from around the world, combining distinct creative perspectives with deep upholstery expertise to create furniture that is expressive yet refined – our take on modern elegance.
Collaborating with kindred spirits
Wendelbo has its roots in Danish design and craftsmanship, but our outlook has always reached beyond Denmark. Over the years, collaborations with designers from different countries, cultures and creative traditions have given the collection a distinctly international character.
We seek out designers with a distinct creative voice, bringing their ideas together with our own expertise in upholstery, materials and production. Through this exchange, ideas are refined and developed into furniture that retains the designer's original intent while becoming distinctly Wendelbo.

Craftsmanship at scale
In 2007, Wendelbo established its own production in Ho Chi Minh City with a team of just 20 people. Today, the facilities span 25,000 square metres, bringing hundreds of skilled employees, specialised machinery and almost every stage of production together in one place.

Woodworking, cutting, sewing, upholstery and assembly are all handled in-house. Modern machinery brings precision, improves the use of materials and increases capacity, while experienced hands remain central to the parts of furniture making that rely on judgement and skill.
Keeping the major processes close ensures flexibility. Designs can be developed, tested and adjusted directly with the people who will eventually make them, while production can scale from smaller runs to complex projects involving hundreds of pieces.
