Conceived by Hoffmann Kahleyss Design, the Sinum Chair is named after the Latin word for pocket, a reference to the curved pocket of padding that defines its seat. Enclosed by either low or high armrests that slope gently upwards to meet a slightly tilted backrest, the chair offers uncompromising comfort and balanced support for both upright and more relaxed seating positions.

Hoffmann Kahleyss Design

Founded in 2013 and based in Hamburg's St. Pauli quarter, Hoffmann Kahleyss Design is led by Birgit Hoffmann and Christoph Kahleyss, both graduates of the Muthesius University of Fine Arts and Design in Kiel. Their work extends beyond furniture design into interiors, exhibitions, showrooms, and photo shoots, allowing them to shape entire collections and brand identities for leading interior companies across Europe.

Balancing softness with refined aesthetics, the Sinum Chair is available with three distinct base options: a classic four-leg tubular base in black powder-coated steel, a delicate, tip-toeing swivel base with an optional return function - also offered with castors for mobility - and a crafted wooden base in light, dark brown, or black oak that lends the chair a natural warmth.
