DESIGNER
Patrick Norguet
Patrick Norguet is known for a design approach defined by clarity, precision and purpose. Born in Tours and trained in industrial design in Paris, he founded his Paris-based studio in 2000, building an international practice spanning furniture, lighting and product design.

His breakthrough came with the Rainbow Chair, now part of the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art in New York – an early example of his ability to translate technical innovation into refined, enduring form.
Norguet’s work is guided by dialogue – with manufacturers, materials and context. Rather than following trends, he focuses on relevance and balance, shaping designs that feel intuitive, meticulously resolved and quietly distinctive.

“The design relies on folds and stitching to shape the form. The softness of the upholstery is set against the controlled geometry of the frame.”
