Mario Ferrarini
Italian designer Mario Ferrarini graduated from Politecnico University of Milan and gained experience working with several renowned design studios before establishing his eponymous studio in 2007. His approach is rooted in creating timeless designs, where balance serves as the defining principle that runs through his entire body of work.
Striking a balance between boldness and effortless beauty, Mario Ferrarini has designed the Folium collection, a series of dining, bar, and lounge seating defined by organic lines and softly enveloping forms. The collection’s bold steel base is elegantly mirrored in the distinctive piping details that accentuate the upholstered seat.
“I was looking out my window on an autumn day, mesmerized by the sight of leaves tumbling towards the ground from above and, particularly so, the visual effect of two leaves landing close to one another with their shapes almost overlapping. This gave me the idea for the lines of the curved seat and back of Folium.”
