DESIGNER

Lars Wendelbo

Representing the second generation of the Wendelbo family, Lars Wendelbo has played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s evolution from a small Danish workshop into an international design brand. Following in the footsteps of his father, who founded Wendelbo in 1955, Lars trained as a master upholsterer, embedding a deep respect for craftsmanship into every aspect of the business.

Building on this heritage, Lars was responsible for leading the expansion of Wendelbo’s production to Vietnam — a decisive step that enabled the company to grow globally while preserving the uncompromising quality it was built upon.

Alongside his leadership role, Lars also contributed to Wendelbo’s design legacy. He created several notable pieces for the collection, including the Edge V1 and V2 sofas and, most recently, the Boketto Sofa. Guided by clean lines and timeless elegance, his designs continue to embody Wendelbo’s enduring commitment to modern craftsmanship and refined aesthetics.

Today, Lars Wendelbo has retired from his official role, but his influence remains a lasting part of the company's DNA.
