CORPORATE COMMITMENTS
Considered materials
Behind every design lies a chain of choices - none more vital than the materials we use, and the methods applied to shape them. In furniture production, this journey involves a wide array of techniques that transform natural resources into form and function. Each step has an impact - on the environment, on people, and on the ecosystems that surround us.
At Wendelbo, we see this as an ongoing journey, and we are committed to moving forward with care and intention. That means remaining mindful of how materials are sourced, treated, and handled. Through thoughtful, incremental steps, we aim to reduce our impact, support responsible practices, and ensure that quality and craftsmanship continue to define everything we do.

PACKAGING
All our furniture packaging is made from 100% FSC®-certified cardboard, with materials containing approximately 80% recycled content. We are working towards a full transition to more sustainable solutions, with the goal of eliminating plastic-based materials entirely by 2026. As part of this effort, Styrofoam and PU-wrapping are no longer used in new product packaging. Instead, we are introducing lower-impact alternatives such as honeycomb board and other recyclable, fibre-based materials.

FABRICS
Conscious choices
We are committed to providing our customers with the knowledge to make environmentally conscious fabric choices. To support this, we provide detailed information about the certifications associated with each fabric, aiming to guide them towards more sustainable options.
Currently, 68% of the fabrics in our collection hold recognised certifications, including the EU Ecolabel, OEKO-TEX®, or both.
Looking ahead, we aim to increase this figure to 80% by 2026.

WOOD
Responsible sourcing
By 2027, we aim for all wood used in our products to be sourced exclusively from certified sustainable forestry, reaching our goal of 100% responsible sourcing.
